Day 6 - Milton, VT to Skowhegan, ME

We woke to a beautiful day, left Dave's at 10am and traveled eastward 255 miles.

The Route
South on I-89 from Milton through Burlington to Montpelier, then east on US-2 through Vermont and New Hampshire to Maine. I-89 was in great condition, but a bit boring. US-2 was scenic, mostly 2-lane, and had a generous portion of rough spots.

Highlights
This area has a signature look.  We'll remember it as having lots of green and beautiful mountain views.
Vermont country views

These signs caught our attention,
but we didn't see any.

A Treat
Occasionally we stumble onto a hidden treasure. Today, it was Mooselook Restaurant. This place is on US-2 on the outskirts of Concord VT. The outside is unimpressive and the inside is plain-rustic ... but, that's where the "why did we stop here?" ends.

The menu was extensive, our sandwiches were outstanding and the prices were low. Oh, did we mention the server was personable, knowledgeable and attentive?
This place is A-OK!

End of the Day
We're camped at Two Rivers Campground. It's quite nice.

We have no Verizon signal here. Fortunately, they have very good wi-fi service at our site.
Site #12

We'll decide tomorrow if we're going to cross into Canada or wait until Monday.
