It’s
a nice, sunny, warm day.
About
the Day
Elizabeth
preached at Lincoln Street UMC and
Tim preached at Montavilla UMC. Each
got to their respective churches by bicycle.
In the afternoon Tim,
Elizabeth, Jacob and Anna went swimming at a beach on the Columbia River.
We
stayed home to work on dinner plans. We’re planning to get back on the road
Wednesday. Today was the best day to have a family “goodbye” and “birthday” dinner
because everyone is tied up with job commitments for the next two days. Carol
arranged for the dinner and surprise celebration at Thanh Thao Restaurant.
We celebrated Barb's birthday (September 30th) and Elizabeth's upcoming birthday (October 19th) with two rounds of "Happy Birthday" and matching birthday cards that sang the "Hallelujah Chorus" with birthday words.

Tomorrow
Elizabeth
leaves for a two day retreat. Tim starts attending a two day medical conference.
