Day 48 – Dundee, OR (Day 6)

We’re on a nice roll. The weather is ditto from yesterday, again.

Morning Fun
Kenny has a tradition of a once-a-month Saturday breakfast at the farm with his family. Today was the day.

Family members were here early (all before we woke up) and a wonderful breakfast spread was ready by the time we were up and dressed. There were 14 of us. What a treat!
The family gathers
Wow! What a breakfast.
It's ready for a hungry group.
Thanks to Vernon, the chef.
It's time to get down to business.

The guests joined in to clean up after breakfast and headed off to their Saturday activities.

Afternoon Fun … Football
Dick and Kenny stayed home to watch football. Kenny was able to project the Oregon and Ohio State games on the living room wall using our PCs, the Internet and Direct TV. Oregon beat Wyoming handily (48-14) after a slow start. Ohio State started fast against Kent State and won big (66-0).

This was the first Dick had seen the Buckeyes play all year.

We learned that streaming works very well over our Verizon hot spot, but gobbles up our data allowance. This will be the first month we've incurred an overage charge.

Afternoon Fun … Picnic
Carol, Barb, Lucy and William headed out to connect with Elizabeth, Jacob and Anna for a picnic and some fun at Metzger Park in Portland.

Anna and Lucy are good buddies.

End of Day
We were all back together and relaxing by 4pm.

Anna joined us for dinner and an overnight with Lucy.
