Day 55 – Portland, OR (Day 6)

Today is sunny, hot and breezy. There’s a haze in the air and a slight smoke odor coming from the 36 Pit Fire near Estacada.

About the Day
This could be classified by some as a typical day in the life of a young family. It seemed like moderate chaos to us. A blow-by-blow follows:

Tim and Elizabeth started the day by taking Jacob to cross-country practice.

Tim and Elizabeth went to look at a used car.

Dick picked up Jacob from cross-country practice.

Dick got a haircut at Sport Clips. This was a first time experience and it went well.

Tim and Elizabeth had a used Honda Civic checked by a mechanic. It passed with flying colors.

Barb, Lucy and William arrived at Tim and Elizabeth’s with no knowledge of a plan for the day.
Ah, yes! Time for a tussle on Grandma's bed.

Carol and Barb made a picnic lunch.

Carol, Anna, Barb, Lucy and William went on a picnic at Mt. Tabor Park.
Bye Mom, Bye Grandma ... we're going to play.

Tim and Elizabeth joined the Mt. Tabor Park picnic group with their new car.

Everyone arrived home by mid-afternoon.

Elizabeth immediately got ready and left for a funeral service.

Tim practiced the wedding service he and Elizabeth are officiating tonight.

Elizabeth got home from the funeral service just in time to get ready for the wedding.

Tim, Elizabeth, Jacob and Anna left for the wedding.

Dick, Carol, Barb, Lucy and William went to dinner at Burgerville.

Barb and the kids left for home from the restaurant.

Dick and Carol went home, watched a Psych episode on Netflix and then went to Green Apple for frozen yogurt.

Tim, Elizabeth and the kids got home around 9:30 and crashed.

Of note … Tim and Elizabeth both preach tomorrow morning.
