It
was really cold last night. As fate would have it, we ran out of propane and
the furnace stopped working. Dick had to get up at around 2am to switch to our
reserve tank. Though we got warmed back up, the temperature outside still dropped below
freezing. We found that the car windows were frost covered and a water container
had a thin layer of ice when we went outside this morning.
The
good news … it was 81°F when we arrived in
Kamloops.
About
the Day
We traveled 277 wonderful miles on TCH-1. We entered British Columbia and the
Pacific Time Zone. We crossed the continental divide in the Canadian Rockies
and passed through YoHo, Glacier and Mount Revelstoke National Parks. We saw mountains, rivers, lakes, forests and the Spiral Tunnel near Field.
Some
sights along the way …

Fog lays in the valley as we approach Field |
The highway had huge cuts. |

Carol
selected Kamloops RV Park. It’s perfect
for us. It’s right on TCH-1 and has all the amenities we need. Their Wi-Fi service
is fast enough for us to catch up on 3 days backlog.
Tomorrow
We’ll
return to the U.S. at Abbotsford BC and stay in Lynden WA tomorrow night.
